First Day of Kindergarten
Today was Talon's first day of Kindergarten. He did great! However, mom got in trouble because I forgot to send lunch money, and, I forgot my car sign to pick him up. It was my first day too! Our biggest accomplishment was that neither of us shed a tear!
Mom to the Rescue
Three people have been stung while enjoying our pool recently. So, we finally put a fogger under the deck to drive them away, and then Mom went on a mission to remove the nests and hives. This took me back to our caver days. The space under the deck is about 4 foot tall, so I had to crawl. I was armed with a dustpan (every mom's tool of choice), a rubber mallet (for the dirt dabber hives) and a can of bug spray. My hubby, Robert and Becki thought it was necessary to take my picture. My final words before leaving the safety of my home were "If I go to the hospital, at least I will get a nap."

Here is the result of my mission. One large active nest, and several smaller ones. You may ask why my husband didn't take on this job. Well, he is very allergic to fire ants, and we didn't want to take any chances. However, I only encountered two live wasps, and did not get stung. I did get very muddy.

Love Shack, Baby!
Last week the boys and I went to the Atlanta area to visit dear friends. The Walmsley's were in the states from Canada, so we had a play group. Luke is hiding behind his mom. We had such fun! Good thing this photo doesn't have sound because all of the kids were yelling "Cheeeeese".

Goodyear had family day last week. This is a photo of Terrin singing with Laura Dodd, a local celebrity. They sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Terrin loved it! I met Laura for the first time that day, but found out she goes to our church. She has an album out and has sang for a movie, she lives in Nashville, but has roots in our town. She also sang a few songs accapella at the Goodyear event.

Terrin fell off of the bed and Talon is consoling him (or permanently damaging him). I don't know why Talon is sucking a pacifier also. They are watching Elmo's World -- Terrin's favorite.

Here is a video of Terrin's passion -- He loves music. Here he will perform "Love Shack", well sorta. You may have to turn up the volume to hear Terrin's "Love Shack, Baby Baby Baby".
