Saturday night we attended the Trunk-or-Treat at our church, and then went home for the old fashioned type of Trick-or-Treating.
The American theme was not intentional. Talon decided to be Captain American. Terrin was just the right size for Talon's eagle costume from 2004.

When Talon said "Captain America" I was really excited. I thought "this will be easy". Wrong! I forget I am trying to please two foremost experts on super heroes -- Talon, and his dad. Every stitch I was told that it didn't look just right. However, my reward was Talon telling me "Mom, I will never forget that you did this for me!" It was worth every hour I spent.
On Sunday after Halloween, I was also rewarded with getting to watch Talon in the backyard. Correction, Captain America in the backyard fighting off bad guys and setting traps. There is nothing better, as a mom, than watching your child play when they have no idea you are sharing their innermost dreams.
Terrin wore Talon's old costume with pride. He learned to say "eagle" and, on occasion, would flap his wings and add a few sound effects.

You did a fabulous job on Talon's costume! I remember keeping Talon at my house one Saturday so that you could get your house ready for your Halloween party. I got to dress him up in that eagle costume. Time flies!
